I feel excited each time when I face a white blank paper or blank board because it is always fill up with something interesting in draing whenever I focus on GOD and wanted to worship HIM through drawing.

I play with 4 lovely shapes this time. Lets see what can I do with them when the HOLY SPIRIT is at work in me. And the theme is about HIM - LORD JESUS - Happy Birthday JESUS!

I did this artwork on 21/5/2010, since then, it becomes one of the popular post among all.

I like to share it again with this writing because I pray GOD will help and bless Thailand and her people - beloved Thais. I believe the current flood situation in Thailand will cease and the water will not reach 2.6 m high in Bangkok because GOD saves and I have prayed. By faith I believe. All human deserve salvation, including beloved people in Thailand.

Back in a year ago, and the memory is still as fresh as a freshly baked bread. As I was doing the artwork, I focused on the clouds, thinking on JESUS and asked the HOLY SPIRIT to help me to do the artwork.

Then I saw the clouds slowly displayed a heart shape. I was not sure does the "love" clouds already formed in the photo or as I was looking at them, GOD formed it. Then the word "Faith" rang in my mind. Soon GOD led me to Mark 11:22.

Today, this lovely artwork still bring pleasure to you guys right? All glories be to GOD!

Looking forward to good news from Thailand. I believe, the flood had stopped flowing into Thailand in JESUS' most precious name.

@ Merry Christmas feeling started since 16...

I bumped into this wonderful Christmas tune again while searching for new ones to share. I landed myself sharing the old lovely one.

The falling in love of Christmas all started through this song when I was 16, during a school vacation job. I worked in a town shopping mall selling strong chinese stuffs eg. Chinese medicine, silk etc. There I was arranged to work in its toys department. The working hours were pretty long and since it was near Christmas season, they played the Christmas tunes everyday for 10 hours, there I was standing for straight 9 hours after deducted lunch time. This lovely old song was one of my favourite, and when it was its turn, I was extremely happy about it. It simply given me a happy and peaceful feeling. Yup, indeed, that year was the beginning of my Merry Christmas. I know this sounds commercial than spiritual, however this is the only song I love and have been hearing it for a month plus till the school vacation was over.

Today, I still have the same nice old feeling whenever I hear it playing in department stores. I am glad to start sharing this beautiful song with you. By the way, now then I knew that the song title is "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas"

My GOD, My Faith and Me

I have been playing a couple of online games especially really like those games with knights and their armours fighting against the evils one.

Today it happened that I have taken some good shots to make them into a faith "cheer-up" for myself when dealing with living issues and sticking close to GOD with HIS great armour of GOD.

People like me who blog about faith openingly will meet some tough life issues set-up by the evil ones. They called it spiritual warfare. Many times, I am attacked first and my faith is challenged or captured; symbolises by the princess captured in the cage.

If I say they don't hurted me, I am lying. The devils often strike real hard to cripple my life, so that I may not able to stand up again and no longer a threat to them.
Yeah! We, the Christians are their arch enemies.
You know what I mean if you are also in the ministry field.

So I have two choices right there for me when I am attacked, and bruised. Either I remain in this position forever as to bow defeated to the evils one, and give up on my faith,
or I take this chance to kneel down and pray.... just trust GOD and wait awhile....waiting upon the LORD....

Usually if I pick the second choice, GOD will restore me and make me stronger than ever when I put on the armour of GOD

Facts and Traditions about celebrate Christmas with a fruit cake.
The fruitcake has historical associations with the Holy Land, and its internal bounty is said to represent the gifts of the Wise Men.

The Austrians reencountered the bounty of Middle Eastern fruit when the Turks lay siege to Vienna in the seventeenth century. In gratitude for having survived that face-off, the Viennese served German turban cake, or gugelhupf, with its filling of raisins, citron, lemon and orange peel, almonds, and spices on Christmas morning.

Similarly, the Scandinavians bake fruit breads and cakes variously called julekage, julekakke, or julebrod at Christmas time; like fruitcake, these contain fruits, nuts, and exotic spices and are glazed.

The German Christmas bread called stollen and the Italian holiday bread known as panettone are other close kin for the fruitcake. They are characterized by variations in the bread or cake base, choices among fruit and nuts (panettone, for example may be baked with pine nuts), and the optional addition of rum or brandy.

Italian panettone is a Milanese tradition surrounded by legend. Supposedly, eggs and fruit were used to make bread for the poor only at holiday times. Process of Baking a Fruit Cake

The day before Christmas, the cakes were unwrapped, coated with marzipan or almond paste, further coated with royal icing that dried and hardened, and then glazed with apricot glaze. Tips:

Shimmering Sands Art

1. Paste the template on a cardboard if you want to make it into hanging decoration, or print on thicker gsm paper eg. 200gsm

2.Glue over the bird first, then slowly pour down the sands from the bottle. Wait a few minutes to dry and remove excess sands.

3. Repeat no. 2 when decorate the texts. Either do the text one by one if you want it to be in different colours or glue over the text, then pour the sands over, wait to dry.

4. Lastly if you like to do the background as well, glue over the background and pour sands over, you may mix different sands colour here to create a colourful background.

5. This art and craft may be a bit messy for younger children, remembe to lay newspaper over the table first.

* Shimmering sands are sold in small bottles in major bookshops.

Combs Art

1. Print the template on thicker paper that is suitable for painting.

2. Prepare different teeth's size of combs.

3. Paint each session with thick pastel colour separately as you comb on the wet colour. (use thicker paster colour without mixing with water)

I so loved today topic because I got the ideas when I was holding the colourful gel pens! I feel it is really nice to colour it on self-made stickers. Yes! I have some A4 white stickers sheet and I am going to print the template on it, then colour and give them away! Fun right?

I do have a few more personal sets to play with. However, it really take times for me to complete one due to my work schedule. That's why I LOVE making templates FOR YOU!

Do you have any gel or glitter colour pens with you?

If you like this activity for big class size, I suggest you use colour ink pens or colour pencils because heeee...I know gel and glitters pens are a bit at the high cost side.

However, this activity is a must-try! I have made 30-pcs and 18-pcs templates. Simply print on sticker-type papers that commonly selling in bookshops, then cut along the dotted line after coloured. If you want smaller size, you make copy the either template on your powerpoint screen and multiply it buy reducing the size.

This year, I celebrate the Easter with at least 7 activity sheets, so far, I have done 3 and below is one of them. Praise JESUS, my LORD. Halleluia! HE Lives!

At the same time, I have been receiving lots of good comments, which I really appreciated. Thank you.

Also many spams to my email account these 3 weeks. I guess those people who spam me with nasty and hostile comments are trying to disourage me, because these people just don't like my ministry in HIM. I am not angry at them, neither am I devastated because I HAVE JESUS IN MY HEART. :D I write this note because I want to tell them my blessing upon them.

I want to tell them GOD loves them and bless them, and the more they spam me, the MORE chances they will receive in their lives to be witnessed by us, Christians. I pray that they'll understand GOD is in the ministry of salvation and love. I am saying, I welcome them to spam my emails.

**WELCOME!**

Lastly, I have plenty of time to bless them because I am just 37 years old. What's they are doing only encourage me to do MORE for my LORD. They are motivating me instead to stay true to my faith. Not forgetting I have just blessed them in JESUS' name, the more chances they would receive to the Gospel in JESUS' name.

This is another way of using beads to make a cross.

Methods:
* 10 beads.
* Work on thicker nylon string, ribbon, or craft wire. The string in the clip only for easy demostration. Soft string cannot hold the cross well.

Tips:
* As key chain, zip ring, car mirror accessory, home decoration, even cosmetic mirror when you glue a mirror behind it etc
* To make it as bookmark, just leave the string longer or use ribbon instead of string.

I published a beaded fish symbol yesterday at facebook and made it into a keychain. The fish is about 4 in. long. It is really a HUGE catch!

I redo the knot tying part to make it look nicer.

Last night, I made two more patterns

The cross's length is same as the fish symbol,

however I use lesser beads.

Then I used more lesser beads to make a 2 in. small cross.

The size is same as my previous Bead cross tutorial,

only in different beading method.

To make the above three beaded craft, all we need is to know the basic beading I used here, then you can move on from here to make any pattern you like. The numbers of beads used determines the size and pattern of your craft. Okay, we need to make a sample piece for ALL your future creation.

This sample piece is 2.5 in. Like I said, you can increase or use lesser beads, even with different colours to make patterns eg. a cross using a rectangle shape.

Once you mastered how to make the basic rectangle shape, you can make any shape you like with amount of beads for the fish symbol and the crosses I have shown above

Step-by-Step Tutorial

If you do not have a key chain, you could tie a knot first as shown. You need a really long string or yard to do the beading.

I use a plastic made string here.

I name my left side of the string A, and right size's B.

I string in 7 beads into A.

Then I take the end of B to string pass through the 7 beads.

Here, the string went through the beads.

Adjust the first set of the beads as pic shown by pulling A and B.

Now, we have the 1st row of beads.

The rest of beading is SAME as the above,

I repeat the steps with some more pictures:

Finally, it is completed!

You may like to replace some beads with other colours to have a cross pattern at the center.
You may also want to have a "J"(JESUS), "G"(GOD) or "HS"(HOLY SPIRT).
Or a person name initial eg. LY(Lyann Yap)

Why not make some small ones with smaller beads key chains and as Easter's gifts for the children?

I will try to make a few video tutorials of the patterns I have soon as I need a camera man to help me, and this beloved only free on weekends...but I just TOO EXCITED to share the new skills with you here!

When I first started sharing faith with the 3 -6 years old, I really have 0 idea and faith of where to start during lesson preparation even the ministiry leader already passed me the curriculum and worksheets one month before my assignment.

Yes, in my secular playgroup teaching, I also receive curriculum and worksheets for every lesson but I feel surely there is a slight difference between spiritual teaching and academic teaching.

Okay, so does it mean I just follow the curriculum? Fine...so the curriculum started with some introduction suggestions; usually 3 activities options, then a fixed Bible story, some Bible activities eg. songs and a Memory Verse of the day. That's it.

What? That's it? Uh...I thought my lesson duration is about an hours plus? Later I knew that the possibility of 2hr is needed as parents love to take their time to fetch the kids. What'll me and my class do then? Okay, I deducted the snack time, is about 15min? That's mean...I still have an hour plus!!!!!

By looking at the curriculum again ...I think I could finish the lesson within half an hour if I just follow the step by step guide....I don't think the kids need an hour for activity time right? Oh..oh...I began to panick and the only way is, quickly went down my knee and prayed. "Help me, dear HOLY SPIRIT", please take charge." Yah...that was my first encounter with the HOLY SPIRIT in Bible teaching.

Do you share similiar circumstance like I do for your very first lesson or even if you already teaching for many years?

Yah...we crack our heads weekly for FRESHLY BAKED ideas, ideas and ideas. Ideas that are kids proved, and must be exciting and fun stuffs. Then the sleepless nights passed...and tomorrow is Sunday!!!!

I really don't want to yawn together with my class or finish the lesson as fast as I could without anticipating it myself.

I WANT TO ENJOY WHAT I'LL BE TEACHING!

I WANT TO HAVE FUN WITH THE CLASS!

I WANT A POWERPACKED Bible time with the kids!

I WANT THE KIDS TO REMEMBER AND ENJOY EVERY PRECIOUS MOMENT WITH GOD IN SUNDAY CLASS!

Awwww!

I just don't want a boring, random-like, dull, and robotic teaching,

that's surely NOT faith sharing experience....but just teaching like I normally do in playgroup.

Then if so, both me and the kids will be LOST...

HELLO~ WHERE ARE WE NOW now now now....?

I think I could hear my own echo....echo...echo....

So! I know deep inside me, in order to have a spirit-filled Bible time that even I would enjoy and learn from the lesson IS.....seek the HOLY SPIRIT's help. Who else know the Bible better than HE does? This is the first #1 I am talking about.

Now the formula is 1(HOLY SPIRIT) = 1+1+1. What are the 1+1+1 factors? Hmmm...sorry...I have not think of that.....hahahahaha! Joking! Scroll down then.

After a couple years of experiences with the kids, beside follow real closely with HOLY SPIRIT, as for me, the 1=1+1+1 works! Every 1+1+1 methods will still fall back to the firstly 1 who is GOD the HOLY SPIRIT. I believe GOD gives us talents and wisdom to teach HIS works. Agree?

So my method of teaching is

1(HOLY SPIRIT)=

1(Academic cirriculum)

+1(Creative lesson plan)

+1(Zealous Passion in JESUS)

With this formula, till today I am still very thrilled in preparing lesson plans or I should say I am addictive to doing them and each time when I do each, I am worshipping HIM. Halleluia.

When I shared faith with the class with firstly mainly the annointing from the HOLY SPIRIT, I could see my children statisfied looks, and returning positive learning attitude weekly! That's why, I teach 52 weeks for first two years, and have to give the chance to new trained teachers stick with alternate month schedule because I simply refused to do training without having Bible fun with the kids myself.

I have to bring up more teachers for my class because....the class size was increasing every week! I am NOT boasting! In GOD, HE makes it happened! The credit is solely HIS alone. GOD even extended my passion by sending cards and visited the children during the weekdays all around my country. No kidding...I have more than 70 children on my list back then. That's the way I build up friendship with my kids and a way to tell them we care and JESUS loves them even Mon - Sat.

Beside the annointing of the GOD'S presence in every lesson, I like to blend in my Bible lesson with secular academic school curriculum, which is what all the Nursery, Kindergarten 1 & 2 school curriculum, because kids learn them in school from Monday to Friday, and if I apply them for Bible lesson on Sunday, it'll help them to learn and remember GOD'S Bible stories so much easier and better. Imagine how delighted they are when you tell Bible story using shapes, ABC, numbers, counting, times etc.

I have seen many anticipative hands risen high in class whenever I chatted with them, asked them questions, even ask for volunteers, because they were so confident and knew how to reply me, to answer my questions as they have learnt their school stuffs well. The other reason I use school curriculum also because I wanted to create familiarity, and postive anticipation in class. Of course I use CREATIVE ways to illustrate them.

Did you realised that I did not talk about class disciplinery here? I read many with tons of ways but I hardly use them in my class because..........where do we including the kids have spare time to anticipate the negative attitude? Everyone were busying PLAYING with me in the class and also they simply love the crazy me?Hahahahahahahhaaaaa! Nevertheless, kids certainly know I am deeply in love with GOD from the way I teach right?

Oh yes, by the way, I pulled the largest trolley bag I could find to my class every week! Yah...all the stuffs I need were right inside there. You name it, I have it. I don't care whether the parents or others would be amused by me. I just want to enjoy my time with GOD and the kids. Woohoo! lalalalalalalalaaaaaa! Yah! I even brought my cd player weekly and danced with the class too during some of the lessons too.

I was just so CRAZY back then, and even right up to today...and I think I'll be like this forever, as long as I live. Halleluia. I'm still madly in love with my LORD~

1=1+1+1 and it is still THE HOLY ONE.

Tips

Straw Painting Art

1. Print the template on thicker paper similiar to drawing paper.

2. Prepare a straw and orange pastel colour.

3. Blend the pastel colour with a bit of water, dip the straw into the pastel and slowly blow the colour on the template. Create a "bright beam" effect on the picture. It is ok even if the paint is outside the template border as the activity should create a wiggly effect.

Okie, here is a short entry before I go for drawing practise. I just feel so excited telling you this that, my hubby don't understand my liking of zoo visitations. I would just glaze at one animal for an hour, simply to observe them for pleasure and interest. eg. lions. I think the lions knew me after that an hour silence eyes to eyes interaction. Hubby likes to to kidding me said he's not sure am I looking at the animals or are they looking at me for entertainment. Yah, very funny but true right? haha!

Yah, it is not surprising I left the zoo eight hours later takes, provided I have exchanged the long hour deal with bribery of many glasses of ice lemon teas for him!

The reason I so liked animals because they are simply the next best creation from Abba GOD!

This year our Chinese Lunar New Year falls on 3 Feb 2010, usually we have reunion dinner on the Lunar New Year Eve, quite similiar to Thanksgiving Day before Christmas.

This is the first time I design related template. The idea flashed into my mind when I was making an E-card for my former students cum facebook friends. The big chinese word 福 means blessings. I use a cross design to represent the chinese word 福 (+), it means blessings in JESUS.And the greeting line 新年如意快乐 means new year smooth living and happy always. I like to add "JESUS Loves You" on letters, cards, sms, message to my students.

Just a thought

I really like to plan activity sheets, but do not enjoy repeat the same activity as I feel each lesson is unique. Usually to avoid such displeasure and for ultimate GOD'S glory, I will pray and tell GOD about the lesson and wait for HIM to paint idea inside my head. Everytime, the activity sheet will turn out unexpectedly fun. Thank you so much dear HOLY SPIRIT.

p/s: I am called by GOD in kindergarten lessons planning so far, since HE put me there at the training ground for 7 years plus.

Tips:
Sands Art
1. You can use craft type colourful sands found in most bookshops or use soft beach sands for the footprint picture.
2 Use glue or double-sided clear tape to cover entired footprint picture.
3. Then slowly scoop sands on the glued/sticky surface, shake away excess.
4. Colour the text, or use other sands colour repeating the above method.
5. Or blend in/introduce other creative craft ideas you have using the template

Tips:
Colour-your-own Jigsaw Puzzle:
1. Use thicker paper to print the craft or stick the picture on a cardboard.
2. Colour the picture with crayons/watercolour etc
3. Scissors
4. Then cut the picture into 16/24 or more pcs jigsaw puzzles or lesser pcs for younger children.
5. You can use pencil lightly to draw the puzzle cutting lines so that the children could cut it easily.
6. Organise a jigsaw puzzles competition among class, pick 3 winners who are fastest in fixing their puzzles.
7. Use the template for ther art and craft purpose too. (that's why I did not pre-print the puzzle lines)

Simple Thought - No thanks! I Dont Want to See Mommy Tickling Santa Claus

This song seemed fun when I heard it as a child. But now...how about Mommy tickles Santa Claus?...I can't laugh out loud if Daddy saw Mommy tickles Santa Claus....what will Daddy think? I know what'll Daddy think since I am married now. Haha.

Some may laugh at me calling me conservative blah blah blah. But, I would appreciate if I saw Mommy just shaking hands with Santa Claus with a "thank you" if he pepared lots of gifts for me!

Is tickling a man a form of seduction or flirting?...hmmmmmm....as for me, a child of GOD, I will not do that right INFRONT or BEHIND my kids or my hubby as how the song sings. What will they think when they saw me tickling Santa Claus? Nonononono no way!

I don't recommend this song to children, or play it on children's Christmas party! What if a kid goes up to his or her mum and asked :"Mommy Mommy, WHY are you tickling and kissing Santa Claus?" I am very curious how would she answer???????

p/s: Usually I love to replay videos I tag in my blog. Not this one. I only played once before I tag to check contents again and already goose-bumps all over me!
